COVID-19 Protection
Our office and team are committed to providing the optimal patient experience each and every time you visit us.
You will notice several safety changes we have implemented when it's time for your next appointment.
Infection control has always been a high priority for our practice. We want to assure you that our office goes above standard precautions to protect our patients and staff taking into consideration recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the California Dental Association (CDA). Cleanliness and disinfection of our entire office, instruments, and equipment are our number one priority.
Surfaces in operatories are wiped down with medical-grade disinfectants before and after each patient. The disinfectants we use deactivate not only live viruses including Covid-19, but also bacterial and fungal pathogens in one minute.
Dental instruments are sterilized before each use.
After each patient, operatories are sprayed with a cold fogger which uses hypochlorous acid (HOCL) to deactivate airborne pathogens within seconds. This process is a proven safe, non-toxic, and non-corrosive method to combat airborne pathogens including viruses. Cold foggers efficiently and rapidly distribute EPA and FDA approved disinfectant solutions (a process utilizing water, non-iodinated salt, and electrolysis) to address droplets, surfaces, and contact transmissions of pathogens. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is widely used in the food industry and in hospitals and is one of the most effective EPA and FDA certified disinfectants available. These solutions are between 80 and 200 times more effective than bleach and are 100% safe and non-toxic.
Each operatory and in the lobby, there is a medical-grade, imported from Switzerland, IQAir HealthPro Plus HyperHEPA air filter which filters airborne particles down to 0.003 microns. This air filtration system filters particles smaller than virus particles, bacterial and fungal pathogens. (The Covid virus is 0.09 microns.) These units are continuously on all day to filter our office air.
Employees wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which meet or exceed recommendations by the CDC.
Patients are required to complete a Covid-19 screening questionnaire and a temperature check before being seen in the office. Our travel and exposure policies exceed the recommendations of the CDC and are in place to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning unit (HVAC) contains two Ultra-Violet Germicidal Lights which deactivate pathogens including live viruses prior to air circulating back into the office. We also use the highest rated High-Efficiency Panel Filters that are replaced every 2 months.
We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions about the steps we have taken to keep you and every patient in our practice safe.
Appointments
If you would like to make an appointment, please contact our office by phone or email. Emergency calls and appointments are available and welcome, especially for new patients in need of assistance. We look forward to providing you with the best personal care.
Cancellations
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to other patients. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice.
Insurance and Billing
Our goal is to provide affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims to help you benefit the most from your dental insurance. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change or decrease, the financial responsible party is accountable for ALL charges. For patients who require major work, a complete estimate and payment plan will be made with an appropriate payment schedule. We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by Cash, Debit cards, Mastercard, Visa and American Express credit cards.
Payment Options
We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.
